My Fashionable Fantastic Voyage…
This week, I’ve been on a Fantastic Voyage! First, I learned that a pic from a photo shoot where I did the fashion styling, was selected for the March issue of Sophisicate’s Black Hair…You know the one with Nicki on the cover!!!!

Sophisticate's Blk Hair: Page 72, #44...Hair: Jamal Edmonds, Make-Up: Leiloni Cooper, Fashion Styling: ME, Model: Aisha Saboor
Second, I was notified that my baby Lauren Taylor was chosen as the Star of the Week for her Pre-K class!!! Her week runs from February 21-24th. CONGRATULATIONS BABY!!!! #TeamLaurenTaylor

Remember Cristina Thomas a.k.a. Tina tha Barber??? Well, after my interview with her a few weeks ago, she invited me to take a tour of her closet, late last week. And while I knew that she had a great sense of fashion and impeccable personal style, I was amazed to see that she is also an avid shoe collector. I mean she’s a Bona Fide Sneaker head!!!!! Her shoe game is on 100 thousand trillion, so I just had to post a little sample here…
And finally, I was hired to style a young lady who was headed to the Diggy Simmons Concert, on Sunday. Check out the Pint-Sized SuperModels tab for a few of the looks that I pulled for her…
While out on my Style Gig, I found that my mini client was going to need a major accessory…And no, it was not earrings, a necklace, or trendy little bracelets, as I had already pulled those for her! What she needed was just a little something to carry her lipgloss, house keys, cell phone and mirror in. Click the In The Bagg tab to see a few handbags for your little ladies…
I know you guys have seen that show on MTV: My Super Sweet 16, which features extremely expensive birthday celebrations for teens who are throwing big bashes to celebraate??? Weelll, I found a company in our area that throws that same level of event for your child, but on a more realistic budget. Click the Flyy In the City tab to read more about Soiree Si Vu Play!
Looking for a few inspirational words for your child to listen to??? Click on the flyyTunes Tab to see what I’ve got for you AND them!
While strutting along on my Fashionable Fantastic Voyage, I stumbled across a picture of Nicki Minaj, but she wasn’t dressed as a cartoon character! Click the Things That Slaay Me tab to see just what she was wearing…

Cristina Thomas, Master Barber
Cristina Thomas, Master Barber… Just those four words are enough to Slaay Me. Think about it, a girl that’s a barber is more than the bomb.com, but one who is talented enough to cut hair better than lots of guys I’ve come across, is more than awesome. It’s simply Soo Flyy!!! So much so, that from the moment, I heard that Ms. Thomas was a barber, I knew there was something special about her. But when I actually had the opportunity to speak to her and view her work, I was sold. I mean Signed, Sealed AND Delivered…
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then in the case of Cristina Thomas, imitation parlayed itself into a career. Ms. Thomas was extremely close to her older brother growing up. She admired him, she looked up to him, and she wanted to be just like him. You see, he was a barber, and he cut hair out of her childhood home, along with their father Crispan Thomas. Although she was enamored with her brother’s barbering skills, it was actually her dad who purchased Ms. Thomas’ first pair of clippers. And it was at that time, she realized that becoming a barber was her life’s destiny. Becoming educated in her field, she began her career as a professional barber in 1994.
Ms. Thomas cuts hair with a patience and calm that results in the most precise cuts and clean lines in town. The passion and conviction that she puts into her craft solidifies how much this career means to her, and is clearly visible in her maintaining her clientele after being in this business for over 18 years. And after all this time, she still loves her work! In fact, the adoration she still feels revolves mostly around how well the customer responds to her gift. For Ms. Thomas, customer satisfaction begets personal satisfaction. It’s this very brand of interaction that has resulted in the many friendships she’s forged, simply because clients are comfortable confiding in her on a variety of issues. Her allegiance to clients does not end once they leave her chair, as she even makes home visits to service clientele that are unable to make it to their appointments, due to health reasons.
Her experience expands way beyond the four walls of her barbershop, as she’s partnered with D-Tech Barbershop, as well as, Salon Lamaj on the 2010 Annual BCI Hair Show. She looks forward to expanding her circle of partnerships and is available to lend her barbering skills to those on the sets of photo shoots, weddings, fashion shows, etc. She aspires to be a barber to the stars and does not mind traveling abroad to cater to their needs. Although Ms. Thomas seeks national acclaim, she wants to remain in the Washington DC Metropolitan area as an ode to the clientele and friends that have contributed to the establishment and longevity of her career.
