Every girl loves a little sleepover, but there are certain elements that will add an instant upgrade and will turn it into the ultimate pajama party. The first is a great pair of pajamas!!! I’ve listed several pairs below.
You can’t just sleep on the floor; grab a cute little sleeping bag.
And don’t forget your pillow!

Young Forever…
With so much BLUE in the air, I just had to get a few things for the little ones. They’re growing so quickly, so we have to dress them as Flyy as possible, while they still let us… You know they won’t be young forever!
Let’s start with these mini skinny’s.
I was very pleased to have found a few for the little “tweens”!
I just loved these little boy’s shorts! Pair them with neon green, bright orange and sunshine yellow.

Now, you know I couldn’t forget about my babies! In as much as it is important to cover ourselves up when we venture out into the elements, it’s just as important to have the children prepared, as well. Besides, it is adorable for them to head out into the rain looking just like Paddington Bear…

This warm colored printed scarf will add an ultra chic touch to a denim romper.
Picture this scarf with a pair of white bermuda shorts and a solid white tank. Add a bright colored pair of jellies for a day of fun in the sun!
Like Father, Like Son…Repeat the same look described on the Flyy Guy’s Tab!
What spring wardrobe would be complete without the perfect pair of boat shoes for your little man!!!
By now, most kids have several pieces of technology that require headphones. These are one of the coolest pairs, I’ve seen. They also coordinate with the vibrant colors of the spring season.
The ultimate finishing touch to any cool kids’ outfit is a Flyy pair of aviator lenses! Her are a pair for her, and a pair for him…
Diane von Furstenberg 4 Gap Kids
On March 15th DVF for GapKids, the Diane von Furstenberg diffusion line for the Gap, hit stores! I’m so pleased to be bringing you several of the looks because they are ultra glam, ooh so chic, and extremely affordable!!!
What I love most about the collection is the yummy color palette and the quirky little prints that DVF chose for the pieces. These are pieces that work well together, but they also offer a breath taking pop of color to other classic Gap pieces, as well as, those your child may already own.
Here are a few pieces that I like…
Connecting the Dots
Spring is the perfect time to dress your little darlings in polka dots! Achieving the perfect balance between classic and whimsical, I’ve found a few key pieces to add to this season’s wardrobe!
Start with this powder pink baby doll dress! Pair it with white leggings or Super Skinny Glitter Jeans from the Gap. Add a little white shrug for sleeves and a finish this look with a pair of silver ballet flats. Tres Chic!
I also absolutely adore this little dotted sweater with bow. Edge this sweet little number up with a pair of ripped jeans (cuffed at the bottom), printed tee, and a pair of baby brogues for a look so classic, that you’ll want to imitate this look for yourself!!!
Sneaking Around…
With the numerous options for children’s footwear, I seldom dress my girls in sneakers. In the winter, they wear boots. For summer they are in flip flops and sandals. With ballet flats in between.
However, I will make an exception when there is a sneaker that’s absolutely slaays is released. Well, I’m sure you seen variations of Converse’s Chuck Taylor’s sneakers, but the xxhi’s are killers!!! Soooooo, I just had to grab a pair for London. See them, AND her new big girl’s hairstyle (Courtesy of Tamika Johnson of Salon Lamaj) below…

London Sneaking Around in a New Hairdo and the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star XX Hi Classic Shoes ($65 zappos.com)
Ok, so even on my girl’s most chill day, you won’t catch them in a pair of Reebok sneakers. But, then I saw these new Chi’Kaze’s! I’m definitely going to have make an a concession, and grab a couple pairs of these. Check them out below.
I also adore these Adidas…
Everygirl needs a little pink leopard print!!!
London Blazes A Royal Blue Trail…
Ok, so London Tyler is my 9 year old, and her recent growth spurt has hurled us into a tremendous styling situation. The issue is that she now wears adult sized clothing and shoes, but designers are creating clothes that are far too provocative, and thus inappropriate for my baby to wear. In fact, I often find myself taking pieces from several different stores and piecing them together into looks that are more suitable for London’s age.
For example, this week we were out shopping and she had to have this royal blue asymmetric blazer from Macys. What she didn’t know, was that blazer was actually one half of a suit, that Rampage designed and styled with a mini-skirt, paired with a laced camisole. I know you’re screaming: Soo Flyy, PLEASE TELL ME YOU DIDN’T BUY THAT FOR LONDON!!! And rightfully so, that is definitely way inappropriate for a 9 year old to wear. However, I DID purchase the jacket!
We tried on the jacket and purchased the one that fit perfectly. Since, it is both cropped and asymmetric, she will be pairing it with a white scoop neck tee-shirt, red skinny jeans and a pair of leopard ballet flats with a red flower on top! For accessories, we went with little star and moon studs, a couple of “little girl” bangles and a red sequined head band.
Option #2…
She can also pair this same royal blue jacket with a graphic tee, and black (faux) leather skinny jeans, and a funky pair of Dr. Martens! Her accessories will mirror the ones listed in the 1st look, but we will change up the colors.
London Jet Sets With Diggy
As you know, the Diggy Simmons concert came to town, on this past Sunday. That said, I was hired to style 11 year London Wood, and while pulling items for her, I thought it would be cool to share with you a few pics!!!
My approach to styling children is simple: More Is More!!!
Remember our discussion last week on Red Skinny’s??? Weelll, here is yet another stylish option!
Pink Skinny’s has the same effect as the red ones…
Just another option…
Ride. The Trend.
I think the last time I actually saw a pair of the true riding boot as a trend, I was 9 years old and in the 4th grade. The designer was Etienne Aigner and I remember them coming in such vivid colors as electric blue, bright red, forest green, mustard yellow, and of course, black and brown. Remember those???
That said, I love to see a little lady in a flyy boot once winter hits, so I thought it would be ultra cool and SooFlyy to add a modern pair of the original trend to your child’s current wardrobe. They will pair well with the items I’ve listed in the previous weeks. See Faux Fur All, aTenTion and Sage’s Swagg for more info…
Surprisingly enough, I found these little trendsetters on an actual equestrian site: www.theequestraincorner.com
Faux Fur All…
My formula for dressing children is very simple: place them in fashions that fit, wash well, and are extraordinarily stylish. Gone are the days where we just mix primary colored tops and bottoms together and send the kids out to school. Our little ones are now pretty much dressed like mini-adults…and I love it! My children look forward to getting dressed each morning and both of them are beginning to request that I purchase certain items to add that special flair to their wardrobes.
Now, they’ve always worn faux fur coats each winter, but now they are wearing faux fur vests to school paired with little skinny jeans and leggings, ballet slippers and sherpa boots. I must say that I love the luxurious feel these little vests bring to the basic jeans and tee-shirt aesthetic.
People always wonder where I find these little pieces of flyy, so I thought I’d share a few with you…
Pint-Sized SuperModels Premiere (Sage Fenwick)
Ok, so I was UpTown for my bi-weekly appointment with Jamal Edmonds of Salon Lamaj, and was pleasantly surprised to see a little Pint-Sized Supermodel. I mean this little lady had on the works: Zara boots, Baby Gap leggings and the cutest little shirt by Lily Blue from Bloomingdales.
Miss Sage Fenwick is her name and she is 4 years old. She’s cute as a button and she’s definitely a Pint-Sized Supermodel. Check her out, with her little self!!!
And yes did you see that she has a little Firefly cell phone??? Too Cute Boots!
